| ON THE GO WITH CHRIS & MARY JO
Our focus is to provide nutrition with an easy, sustainable routine. Many have their own favorite market, from a large grocery store, farmers market to a health food or specialty store. Local markets are getting better at providing and displaying fresh food and other alternatives. This is a wonderful opportunity to assist the public. Even if awareness is raised about nutritious food, it is essential to increase availability for people to be able to enjoy the health benefits.
Be sure to meet the store manager and let him or her know if you are not finding what you need. Also, let the manager know what products you do like and use. We find that if there is a need, stores will provide those products. By reading labels and comparison shopping, you will be able to obtain the ingredients necessary to prepare and enjoy nutritious meals. Our goal is to have all local markets, in all economic areas, provide the products with the greatest nutritional value to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle for you and your family.

Low Sodium Kitchen Pantry Makeover |
| IS IT TIME FOR A MAKEOVER?
Before your next shopping trip, consider a low sodium kitchen pantry makeover. Sodium exists naturally in foods and that is fine. We make a point to prepare and cook all meals, without adding excess sodium, by flavoring food with spices and herbs. This can go far beyond just having a few healthy recipes. It can inspire a kitchen pantry makeover.
When you read the labels on food, you may be surprised to see how much sodium is added in the processing of food. Over the years, we slowly reduced the sodium content of our food. More people are beginning to hear the concerns of excess sodium in their food. We hope everyone is empowered by this awareness and with this information. This simple decision does not cause you to sacrifice flavor. It opens up a new world of flavors.
First, look in your kitchen pantry or cabinets to determine what you need to replace to remove excess sodium. Second, identify the types of food you enjoy. Third, try shopping at your local grocery stores and supermarkets for brands of those foods and ingredients with the lowest sodium content. We create delicious recipes, using spices and herbs, without adding any excess sodium.
